Day 2 started with another early morning. We pulled out and drove east about three hours to Social Hill Baptist Church in Arkansas where the Magnolias "belted out" a few songs for the Lord! We were encouraged and challenged by their pastor's message. The members prepared a "pot-luck" lunch and invited us to join them. We enjoyed fried chicken, meat loaf, black eyed peas, cabbage and cornbread. Well there were actually more things than that but that worked for me!
We hopped back on the bus and took off for our next stop. After a four hour drive that included entertainment (games) we arrived at Woodland Baptist in Jackson, Tennessee. Our Magnolias once again amazed us all with their energy and passion for singing about Jesus. Carma really "wowed" us with her lead in "This Old House". We finished the evening with some delicious food and an impromptu piano concert by a very talented young man,
Finally after a long, long day we are in our rooms with our feet up resting up for another.
By the way for those of you who know Ron, this is the longest he has traveled without stopping at a museum! We drove right by the Audie Murphy museum...bummer!
God Bless!
